Called to the Ontario Bar 2016

As Rapley & Company’s resident Maritimer, Lindy brings the famous east coast charm to client relations, while her background as a competitive athlete and student leader inspires fierce advocacy. While some lawyers are better in print, and others on their feet, Lindy is skilled at both. She has a keen ability to command a room and a penchant for drafting written arguments, and she revels in the opportunity to advocate on behalf of clients both on paper and in the courtroom. She is experienced in civil litigation generally, but has particular interest in commercial litigation, employment law, elevator liability law, and recently in the area of civil contempt.

Lindy earned her BA from Mount Saint Vincent University and her Law Degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Lindy was elected to four student government positions in her university career including Students’ Union President during undergrad and Vice President Communications of Dalhousie’s Law Student Society. She also worked as Dal Law’s Social Committee co-chair and volunteered with various student organizations including the Indigenous, Black & Mi’kmaq Initiative Peer Education Program.

The law never stands still and neither does Lindy. As a former national level gymnast she loves being physically active as much as possible whether in early morning training at the gym or in lunging her way to the photocopier. A self-proclaimed podcast addict, she’s known to keep the office up to date on US and Canadian politics and the latest in the world of pop-culture. Lindy is a dedicated pro bono lawyer with the Refugee Sponsorship Support Program. She is a member of The Advocates Society and the Toronto Lawyers Association.
